Puerto de la Duquesa is considered by some to be the Costa del Sol’s best-kept secret. Within easy reach of the airports of Malaga (40 minutes) and Gibraltar (30 minutes), La Duquesa offers a very high quality of life in its advantageous location to the west of Marbella.The area boasts a vast amount of unspoilt natural scenery and authentic local character whilst sharing the much sought after climate, as well as the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol.

Among the many attractions offered at this growing port are a sport marina, miles of beautiful, uncrowded beaches, promenades with bars, restaurants, cafés and services. The natural marvels of Andalusia are never far away and shopping and a bustling nightlife are just minutes away.


Also on offer for the enthusiast is a championship 18 hole golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., hailed as a technical masterpiece. In addition to golf, many facilities including tennis and squash are offered, along with a fully equipped gym complete with qualified trainer. Alcaidesa, a Links golf course overlooking Gibraltar and Valderrama, host of the Ryder Cup and World Championship, are closeby.

Sotogrande offers a parkland course and La Cañada, a golfer´s challenge with fairways as thick and lush as carpet. San Roque, host to the qualifying schools, is also just a few minutes away. And if these are not enough, you will find them accompanied by at least another 40 courses along the coast, all within an hour´s drive.

Puerto Duquesa is surrounded by the beautiful beaches and mountains typical of this area. Many local beaches have earned the European Blue Flag for cleanliness and in the mountains can be found a wide variety of wildlife.
